Doesn't it always seem like Valentine's day sneaks up on you?  Well here are some great, quick ideas for gifts and decorations to make it look as though you have put a lot of thought into the event.

It is amazing what you can do with some heart-shaped pieces of paper and a pen.  Even if you can’t cut hearts well, that's okay, it will make it seem as though you really tried your best with a sincere desire to please.  With just a few candles, a few paper hearts and a pen, you can turn the whole day to your favor.  The best one is to take a mason jar and fill it with slips of paper saying things like:  “Good for one back massage”, Good for three kisses”, “Good for taking out the garbage”; “Good for doing the dishes”, etc.  use your imagination.  Now, it may just be a jar full of empty promises, but it is the thought that counts.

Hey, take a marker and write on some fruit “Orange I glad I found you!”.  How cute!  Far better than a diamond ring.    As a matter of fact, you could make an entire breakfast out of it:  Bacon and eggs with little notes:  “you're a good EGG” “I’m not EGGaggerating” “I’m BACONing you to be mine” maybe serve it with hot tamales :)

So, here are some great ideas, do with them what you will….

Balloons are always fun!  If all else fails, some chocolates and jewelry couldn’t hurt.  Just don’t give hair color and wrinkle cream and you should be fine.
